Police and other emergency responders on Monday launched a rescue operation after a three-storey student hostel(Elite Five Star Lodge) in Amokpala, near the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State, collapsed on Sunday night.
The emergency teams, including the state fire service, State Emergency Authority, and other relevant agencies, have rescued some victims trapped under the rubble as authorities continue searching for others feared trapped.
