Verizon CEO Dan Schulman confirmed that the carrier has signed a $1 billion fiber deal with tech giant Google.
He confirmed that Verizon will provide Google with its dark fiber to connect the hyperscalers data centers.

Schulman made the comments during the company's Q2 earnings call last week, noting that further deals will be announced later this year.
According to Schulman, these agreements are "expected to be worth multiple billions of dollars in revenue over the next several years."
