MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines has begun its efforts in establishing hydrogen power plants to achieve energy security, particularly in off-grid areas, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said during his fifth State of the Nation Address.
“We have begun to embark on the establishment of hydrogen power plants. Multiple projects are now in their pre-developmental stage in Marinduque, Masbate, Zamboanga Sibugay, Basilan, and other potential areas,” Marcos said.
The president has long advocated for alternative energy sources, including hydrogen power, which Marcos describes as “the world’s clean fuel of the future.”
