Samsung, Xiaomi and OnePlus all build their best-selling phones on Qualcomm silicon, and Qualcomm has written to its customers to say processor prices rise by a double-digit percentage on anything shipped after 1 September. Bloomberg reported the letters on 24 July. The company told clients it has run out of room to absorb what its own suppliers charge. Qualcomm has declined to comment.
