The Tata Tiago is a decent offering in the budget segment.
It’s a cliché, I know, but don’t judge a book by its cover, which is what I did when the Tata Tiago arrived in the driveway.
Perhaps it was because I had just stepped out of a Land Rover Defender 110 and all the bells and whistles that come with it, but on reflection the price of the little hatchback would likely not even cover the deposit for the luxury SUV.
The point is that we need to take context into account when it comes to the budget segment.
This is where many South Africans are looking to enter the market and it’s fraught with challenges but presents decent options for those that get it right.
