Climate activist and scientist Sonam Wangchuk on Monday said he has been discharged from the hospital and will visit Rajghat in New Delhi to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi before returning to the mountains post Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests at Jantar Mantar.In a post on X, Wangchuk wrote, "AND FINALLY.... I'm being discharged from the hospital. Will be going to Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and then back to the mountains."In a video posted on X, Wangchuk said he has gradually resumed eating and is regaining strength. During his 26-day fast, he also raised issues concerning Ladakh while extending support to students protesting examination irregularities. Wangchuk ended his fast after the Centre assured that peaceful protesters would not face punitive action.A 37-day-long agitation ended on Saturday with the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
