At least two people were killed and five others were wounded, including a child, in a shooting during a food festival near the Space Needle in Seattle in the US state of Washington on Sunday evening, according to a city fire department spokesperson.

Two people died at the scene, said Grace Nunez, Seattle Fire Department spokesperson. The five injured individuals were transported to Harborview Medical Center, including a 56-year-old woman in serious condition.

A two-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man, and a 39-year-old woman are in stable condition. A 40-year-old woman sustained minor injuries.
