The party said the council comprises governors, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, federal and state lawmakers, and other stakeholders drawn from across the country.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of its National Campaign Council and several sub-committees for the August 15, 2026, governorship election in Osun State.

The party disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, saying the campaign council would be inaugurated on Tuesday, July 28, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre in Abuja.

According to the statement, the National Campaign Council will be chaired by the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors' Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Other senior party leaders named as co-chairmen are Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
