Greece has condemned the repeated incursions of Russian drones into Romania’s airspace and expressed its “full solidarity” with Bucharest.

“Greece expresses deep concern over the repeated incursions of drones into Romania’s airspace. Any violation of the airspace and territorial integrity of a sovereign state constitutes a clear breach of international law and is unacceptable,” the Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.

“We stand in full solidarity with our EU partner and NATO ally, Romania,” it added.

Romania on Sunday summoned Russia’s ambassador after reporting that it had shot down three drones in as many days. A Romanian military aircraft intercepted and destroyed a drone after it entered the country’s airspace on Sunday morning, the Defense Ministry said. The incident followed similar interceptions on Friday and Saturday.
