The number of high-net-worth individuals across the world rose by almost 2 million in 2025. Their collective wealth increased by 8.7% to a record $98.3 trillion (€86.2trn), the largest annual jump since 2018, according to Capgemini’s World Wealth report.
But what’s causing that increase in wealth, are Europeans experiencing the boom and does a rise in the super rich do anything for the economy?
