Airtel Nigeria has expanded its nationwide retail and distribution network as the telecommunications company intensifies efforts to improve customer access and support the growing demand for digital services across the country.
The company disclosed in a statement on Sunday that its retail ecosystem now comprises more than 4,000 exclusive Airtel shops and over 200,000 retail touch-points nationwide, including partner stores, channel partners and neighbourhood agents.
The expanded network enables subscribers to access services such as SIM registration, device purchases, airtime and data recharge, customer support and other digital solutions closer to where they live and work.
Speaking on the strategy, Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Dinesh Balsingh, said telecom services require more than physical infrastructure, adding that customer proximity remains essential to delivering quality experiences.
“Telecommunications goes beyond the physical infrastructure; it is important that we are able to reach people where they live and work. That is why we continue to invest in a strong retail and distribution ecosystem that enables us to bring Airtel closer to our customers while delivering a consistent, high-quality experience wherever they are,” Balsingh said.
