Then it continued, one after another, the Milwaukee Brewers’ young ace having struck out eight of the first nine batters he faced, his levers long and his velocity as high as it’s ever been.Such was the predicament the lowly Colorado Rockies found themselves on Sunday at American Family Field. The National League’s frontrunner for the Cy Young Award continued his historic 2026 campaign by, well, making more history.As chronicled by MLB.com’s Sarah Langs, Misiorowski’s three strikeouts at 104 mph or swifter were the most by a pitcher in a game in the pitch tracking era (since 2008). Those three Ks topped the two that Misiorowski set a month ago on June 12.They came on pitches that clocked in at:• 104.3 mph (swinging strikeout against Hunter Goodman in the top of the first inning)
• 104.5 mph (called strikeout against Kyle Karros in the top of the second)
• 104.1 mph (swinging strikeout against Cole Carrigg in the top of the second)
It didn’t end there, either.His eight strikeouts on pitches clocked at 103 mph or faster were the most by any pitcher since 2008, topping a record that Misiorowski has matched and reset four times this season.
