The Boland Kavaliers embarrassed their more illustrious neighbours, the Stormers, on Sunday afternoon with an impressive 41-3 victory at Boland Stadium to complete Round 2 of the Currie Cup.
It was the Wellington-based outfit's second impressive win of the tournament after beating the Bulls a week earlier.
Boland fullback Domenic Smit and wing Xavier Mitchell set the tone for the clash with thrilling tries within the first six minutes of the match – both conversions missed by wing Jayden Bantom – to race into a 10-0 lead.
Although boasting a more prestigious standing, the Stormers were hapless in their approach, fluffing a handful of chances to haul themselves back into the match. Their only contribution to the scoreboard was a penalty by flyhalf Dominic Malgas in the 19th minute, as their wastefulness continued throughout the encounter.
