Singer Chris Brown took to the stage in Nashville shortly after he appeared at Southwark Crown Court where he plead guilty to affray following a violent club attack13:39, 26 Jul 2026Dressed in all black as he took to the stage in Nashville, Tennessee, to perform in front of his adoring fans, Chris Brown looked unfazed by his recent court appearance where he plead guilty to affray following a brutal club attack, which left his victim in hospital.‌Wearing a black leather jacket teamed with dark glasses, the With You singer, 37, appeared on stage for the latest leg of his R&B Tour alongside Usher, just hours after he issued a guilty plea at Southwark Crown Court for the attack.‌The hearing only last a few minutes ahead of a sentencing. His plea is on the back of a violent altercation at a Mayfair nightclub in 2023, after which he was arrested for hitting his former pal twice over the head with a bottle, while on the dancefloor.‌His victim was rushed to hospital where he received treatment. The Metropolitan Police described the incident as a "disgraceful, unprovoked assault".At the time he had been charged with assault "occasioning actual bodily harm" against Abraham Diaw. According to reports, he had previously pleaded not guilty and denied having a bottle, which was deemed an offensive weapon.‌He was also charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm. After changing his plea in the courtroom, it has been claimed that there were gasps heard in the gallery.He is due to be sentenced in October, while his co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu, better known by his rap name Hoody Baby, also pleaded guilty to the same crime.The Crown Prosecution Service said that in the early hours of the morning on February 19 of that year, the victim was at Tape private members club and Chris approached him on the dancefloor.‌While making his way through the crowd, it was claimed the singer "struck the victim twice over the head with a glass bottle" and that his co-defendant also joined in on the attack.The CPS added that the violent duo "continued their assault whilst the victim attempted to flee through the club” and “the victim was kicked while he was seated defenceless on the floor."Article continues belowDetective Constable Zara Ripamonti, from the Metropolitan Police Service, said: “This was a disgraceful, unprovoked assault that put a man in hospital.
