The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reportedly increased the state’s monthly security vote from ₦700million to ₦3billion, a move that could make it the highest security vote allocation by any state government in Nigeria.

SaharaReporters has learnt that the increase was allegedly secured with the backing of the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, who is currently facing impeachment threats over the OSOPADEC financial scandal.

Sources told SaharaReporters on Saturday that the governor and the Speaker worked together to obtain legislative approval for the massive increase in the monthly security vote.
