Osun Election: Governor Adeleke's Campaign Condemns Police Abduction Of Accord Party House Of Reps Candidate, Three Others

According to the council, the police action was politically motivated and aimed at preventing the Accord Party leaders from participating in activities ahead of the election.

The Governor Ademola Adeleke Campaign Council has alleged that some police officers "abducted" the Accord Party's House of Representatives candidate for Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Popoola Alaba, popularly known as Alabama, along with three other party members, demanding their immediate and unconditional release.

The allegation was contained in a statement issued by the Imole Campaign Council and signed by the Chairman of its Media and Publicity Committee, Rep. Bamidele Salam.

According to the council, the police action was politically motivated and aimed at preventing the Accord Party leaders from participating in activities ahead of the election.

The statement read: "The Imole Campaign Council hereby demands the immediate and unconditional release of Popoola Alaba popularly known as Alabama, the Ijesa South House of Representative Accord candidate."
