The Georgian government has extended a financial assistance program through October 1, 2026, for Ukrainian citizens and individuals eligible for permanent residence in Ukraine who have arrived in Georgia due to the war.
According to Ukrinform, Sova reported this, citing the Georgian Government Administration.
Under the decision, families will continue to receive ₾300 for housing, and each recipient will receive ₾45 in monthly assistance. However, if a person leaves Georgia, the ₾45 payment will be suspended starting the following month. In addition, the ₾300 housing allowance will be suspended for a family if all its members leave the country.
The relevant order was signed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Payments are made by the Social Service Agency.
The government has also extended the healthcare program for Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Georgia between February 1, 2022, and October 1, 2026, and have been continuously residing in the country until October 1, 2026.
