Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has described the traditional institution as a critical partner in the state’s development.

He added that sustainable progress depends not only on government policies but also on strong community leadership.

The governor stated this at the grand finale of the 10th coronation anniversary of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeen Kasali, held in Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State, on Saturday.

Represented by his Special Adviser on Rural Development, Nurudeen Agbaje, Sanwo-Olu said traditional rulers had continued to play significant roles in promoting peace, preserving cultural values, resolving conflicts and mobilising communities for development.
