Apple has unveiled the trailer for “Neuromancer,” a sci-fi drama based on the novel by William Gibson, starring Callum Turner as a cyberspace criminal.
The series is helmed by “Dark Winds” creator Graham Roland, with “The Twilight Zone” and “The Outsider” director attached to the pilot. An official plot description teases that a “damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.”
The ten-episode series was greenlit by Apple TV back in February 2024 and will follow Gibson’s 1984 novel, which won the Hugo, Nebula and Philip K. Dick awards. That landmark book spanned the Sprawl trilogy, including “Count Zero,” “Mona Lisa Overdrive” and “Burning Chrome.”
Briana Middleton (“Sharper”) stars alongside Turner. Turner recently appeared in “Rose of Nevada” with George MacKay. Next up, he is set to appear in the rom-com “One Night Only” alongside “A Complete Unknown” Monica Barbaro. Turner is also heavily rumored to be in the conversation to play James Bond after Daniel Craig closed out his time as 007 with 2021’s “No Time to Die.”
