At least 15 Panamanians have been recruited to take part in the war between Russia and Ukraine and one of them has died, Panama authorities said on Friday as they warned people against taking a “life-threatening risk.”
Panama’s foreign ministry said it was investigating the presence of its nationals in the conflict – which began in 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine – after relatives complained that their loved ones had been enlisted under false pretenses.
