22-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Clapham,Six men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Clapham, south-west London, in the early hours of Saturday. The victim died in hospital after being taken there with a stab wound, while four other men were also hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.According to the BBC, Metropolitan Police said officers were called at about 4.37 am BST after reports that a 22-year-old man had arrived at hospital with a stab wound. Investigators believe the stabbing took place around 4.20 am near Tremadoc Road and Clapham High Street.Four suspects also injuredPolice said four men — three aged 22 and one aged 24 — attended hospital with stab wounds that were not considered life-threatening or life-changing.All four have since been arrested on suspicion of murder while receiving treatment.Two more men, aged 23 and 27, were also arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation and remain in police custody.Police probe underwayDetectives are carrying out inquiries in and around Tremadoc Road and Clapham High Street to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The victim's family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, said officers would maintain an increased police presence in the area while inquiries continue.Superintendent Mark Gallacher described the stabbing as a "tragic incident" and said police were supporting the victim's family."We understand that this will cause concern among the local community and specialist detectives are doing everything possible to determine what has happened," he said.Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward as the investigation continues.
