Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi and Acting Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara discussed the supply of air defense missiles with Raytheon Vice President for Land and Air Defense and the CEO of Raytheon Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Koretskyi reported the meeting on Facebook.
"We discussed how to increase the supply of missiles for Patriot systems promptly ahead of winter, expand their production, and further strengthen Ukraine's defense industry. Our goal is not only to meet Ukraine's needs but also to integrate Ukrainian defense capabilities into the global security system," Koretskyi said.
The sides paid particular attention to joint production of air defense systems.
"This issue was discussed by the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States during their meeting in Ankara. The American side proposed practical steps. The Ukrainian government will do everything necessary to launch this work as soon as possible," Koretskyi emphasized.
