TMB Foundation has extended a sponsorship support to Udhavum Ullangal’s Nellai Cancer Hospital in Sengulam through construction of an outpatient block at a cost of ₹3.34 crore.TMB Foundation had already contributed ₹2 crore for the project in the financial year 2025-2026.According to the press release, Nellai Cancer Hospital is expected to significantly improve the access to timely and quality cancer care in the region. By enabling early diagnosis and prompt treatment the hospital aims to enhance treatment outcomes, reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for specialised care and improve the overall health and quality of life of people across southern Tamil Nadu.The press release said Salee S. Nair, Managing Trustee, TMB Foundation and Managing Director of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank, presented a cheque for ₹1 crore as the third tranche to B. Sankara Mahadevan, Trustee, Udhavum Ullangal Public Charitable Trust. M. Muthiah, Chief Executive Officer of TMB Foundation, was also present on the occasion.Through this initiative, TMB Foundation reaffirmed its dedication and commitment by supporting impactful healthcare projects that created a lasting social value and improve the well-being of undeserved communities, the release added.
