Milford FC get first taste of PSL competition at Premier's Cup

Milford FC's remarkable rise to the Betway Premiership has been one of South African football's feel good stories, but this weekend the fairy tale gives way to reality as the newcomers get their first taste of top flight competition at the KZN Premier's Cup.

Just over a month ago, Milford celebrated one of the biggest moments in the club's history after earning promotion through the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs.

A hard fought 1,1 draw away to Magesi FC sealed their place among South Africa's elite, completing an incredible journey for the Richards Bay based club.

Now comes a different challenge. Before a single Betway Premiership point is up for grabs, Milford will measure themselves against some of KwaZulu-Natal's established heavyweights in the Premier's Cup.
