Three people were killed in Sumy as a result of yet another massive Russian attack, and fires broke out at several locations.
According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook.
According to the agency, civilian infrastructure and areas near residential buildings were targeted. Fires broke out at several locations—cars and non-residential buildings were ablaze.
“Rescue workers operated simultaneously at all sites to quickly extinguish the fires. They had to work under extremely difficult conditions: Due to the constant threat of renewed shelling, emergency service teams were forced to interrupt their work and take cover to save their own lives, after which they returned to extinguishing the fires,” the State Emergency Service noted.
Later, Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, clarified that the strike by a Russian jet-powered drone on Sumy killed three Nova Post drivers.
