Sheskharis, Russia’s largest Black Sea oil port, has not been loading oil onto tankers for the past few days following attacks by Ukrainian drones in the area.

The Sheskharis oil terminal in Novorossiysk has not been loading oil since Tuesday morning, July 22. This is evidenced by vessel traffic data as well as satellite images confirming that the terminal has halted operations.
Although adverse weather conditions can sometimes hinder loading operations at the facility, the storm warning covering the Sheskharis area did not take effect until late Thursday evening—two days after the last loading operation was completed.
An increase in attacks by Ukrainian drones this week has already prevented tankers from loading oil from the neighboring CPC Terminal. If disruptions at Sheskharis persist, this could increase pressure on the global oil market, which is already strained due to the situation in the Middle East.
