Kerry Katona has revealed she's happier than ever with boyfriend Paolo Margaglione – but says she's determined to never lose herself in a relationship again. The 45-year-old former Atomic Kitten star has been dating personal trainer Paolo after the pair met while filming Celebs Go Dating last year. Since then, Kerry has regularly shared loved-up updates with fans, praising the positive impact the romance has had on her life following a string of high-profile relationships.Writing in her latest exclusive column for new, the mum-of-seven admitted the couple recently had a health scare after they both came down with the same bug, but said they're now feeling much better.‌"Last week, Paolo and I both had a bug. I’m sure he was the one who gave it to me, but thankfully, we’re both much better now," she joked. While the illness briefly slowed them down, Kerry said she's feeling stronger than she has in years and believes she's finally in a healthy place both physically and mentally."I think overall my health is in a really good place now. I just think that my body’s been in fight or flight mode for the last 44 years. I’m really happy, I love myself and I’m in a good relationship."Despite being blissfully loved-up, Kerry insists her biggest priority is continuing to work on herself rather than relying on someone else for her happiness.‌"Every day’s a journey, not a destination. I’m always working on myself and will continue to do so."Kerry has had a series of high-profile relationships and three marriages - to Westlife singer Brian McFadden from 2002-2006, Mark Croft from 2007-2011 and the late George Kay, from 2014-2017. George died from a drug overdose in 2019.The mum of five said she would marry Paolo "in a heartbeat" telling OK during their first photo shoot earlier this year: "When we first met on the show [Celebs Go Dating] my first impression of Paolo was I was going to have to push him round in a pram because he was so much younger than me.‌"But when I actually met him in person there was an energy and a connection that I don't think I've ever felt ever. It literally took me by surprise. I thought: wow he's a little fittie."Kerry, who is mum to Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi, Max and DJ, also frequently shares how much her children mean to her, with family life remaining at the heart of everything she does. Now, she's looking forward to switching off completely as she and Paolo prepare to jet away for a relaxing break together."We’re going on holiday for a week soon – I cannot wait. Sun, sand, a bit of yoga, nice walks, lots of healthy food – I’m really looking forward to it."‌After years of ups and downs, Kerry appears to be embracing a slower pace of life – proving that while she's happy in love, she's equally committed to making herself her number one priority.Like this story?
