Human rights activist and 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has unveiled a technology-driven anti-corruption agenda, saying his administration would deploy blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to eliminate corruption, increase transparency and reduce bureaucracy in government if elected Nigerian president in 2027.

In a statement shared on his X account on Friday, Sowore argued that blockchain and AI represent the most effective tools for combating corruption in the public sector by making government transactions transparent and enabling real-time oversight of public finances.

"Ending public sector corruption! Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence are the most powerful weapons against public sector corruption," Sowore wrote.

He explained that blockchain technology would ensure that all government financial activities are permanently recorded and available for public scrutiny.
