It’s been a little more than a week since a stout, scrappy raccoon captured the internet's heart, and Jimothy mania is showing no signs of slowing down.From Google to Roku City and bobbleheads to murals, Jimothy is everywhere.Here’s a roundup of all the places Jimothy has infiltrated.Who is Jimothy?Here’s a quick rundown of the internet’s newest quirky animal star, Jimothy.Deemed by many to be Seattle's unofficial mascot, Jimothy is a raccoon that recently became an overnight social media sensation, thanks to an Instagram video capturing him running across a patch of grass before hiding in nearby shrubbery.More than just a wild raccoon, though, Jimothy has gone viral for an apparent birth defect impacting the length of his spine. The result is a bulbous body covered in scraggly fur atop four spindly legs, a stout head and little to no neck.OK, with that out of the way, let’s get into the many places Jimothy has popped up over the past week.Jimothy takes over Google SearchTo celebrate the collective love of Jimothy, Google released a new animation in its search bar July 22. When Google users search "Jimothy" or "Jimothy the raccoon," an animated version of the scrappy underdog – or under-racoon – runs across the screen.For those who can't get enough of the cuteness, there is a raccoon paw print at the bottom of the screen that, when clicked, makes the silly creature run across the screen again. By July 24, the feature had been used nearly 10 million times.Jimothy visits Roku CityJimothy may call Seattle home, but he apparently enjoys the occasional vacation. On July 21, streaming platform Roku announced in a Facebook post that "Jimothy made it all the way to Roku City," a reference to its panning screensaver that depicts a city full of pop cultural Easter eggs and other hidden gems."It’s real, I finally found him on my TV!" wrote one commenter. "He's everywhere. No one can hide from Jimothy," wrote another."Loading up my Roku right now. I hope to see Jimothy in the background," wrote someone else alongside a crying-laughing emoji.Jimothy joins Minecraft NaturalistFrom Seattle to Roku City and onto Minecraft Naturalist, Jimothy is truly getting around.On July 23, Starfish Studios, an official Minecraft partner that creates unique worlds and game modifications, announced that Jimothy would be coming to its Naturalist add-on pack.The production company hasn’t announced an official release date, but already fans are excited.“Jimothy! All hail Jimothy,” wrote one player. “I love u Jimothy,” added another.Jimothy gets the bobblehead treatmentOutside of the digital realm, Jimothy officially earned an honor usually reserved for the most elite athletes, celebrities, world leaders and cultural icons – the bobblehead treatment.The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled its new Jimothy figure on July 21.The figure forever immortalizes Jimothy’s unique form “in a running pose as he is eyeing his next adventure in The Emerald City,” the museum noted in its news release.Jimothy inspires artists around the countryJimothy has been an inspiration to many, evidenced by all the artists who have paid homage to him in their medium of choice.Murals, glass-blown figurines, trading cards – there’s no limit to what this tireless little critter will do next.Greta Cross / USA TODAY contributed to this report.Drew Pittock covers national trending news for USA TODAY.
