A renewable energy company, All On, has organised a coding competition (hackathon) to nurture young innovators and encourage the development of practical solutions to the country’s clean energy challenges.
The event, held in Lagos, according to a statement made available to Saturday PUNCH on Friday, formed part of activities marking the company’s 10th anniversary and brought together students and young innovators to develop technology-driven solutions for the renewable energy sector.
The statement said Team Current Creators, comprising students from the University of Lagos, Lagos State University and Yaba College of Technology, won the hackathon with its innovation, ColdLink.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of All On, Ms Caroline Eboumbou, said the hackathon was designed to inspire and empower the next generation of clean energy innovators while promoting solutions capable of expanding access to sustainable energy in the country.
