In a deeply emotional video that has sent shockwaves through the Nigerian entertainment industry, veteran actress, Ngozi Nwosu, appealed for financial assistance as she battles a serious undisclosed illness.
The actress, fondly remembered for her role in ‘Fuji House of Commotion’, appeared frail in the video, which was widely shared on social media on Thursday.
Lying on a hospital bed and covered with a blanket, Nwosu looked directly into the camera as she appealed to fans, family and well-wishers not to abandon her in her time of need.
She said, “My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. The veteran actress, who previously battled kidney and heart-related ailments that required treatment abroad with support from the Lagos State Government and generous Nigerians, disclosed that she needs three life-saving surgeries estimated to cost about N30m.
