Nissan and Andretti join hands for GEN4 (Image credit: Instagram)Nissan has announced that it will supply powertrains to Andretti Formula E Team from the GEN4 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The announcement comes ahead of Nissan's home race at the Tokyo E-Prix this weekend. The multi-year agreement brings together two of Formula E's most successful teams in a technical partnership for the championship's next generation.Nissan announces new Formula E partnership with Andretti for GEN4Earlier in May, Andretti confirmed that it would end its partnership with Porsche after the current GEN3 era. However, the team had not revealed which manufacturer would replace Porsche until Nissan's latest announcement.Andretti and Porsche joined forces at the beginning of the 2022/23 season and enjoyed plenty of success together. The partnership helped Jake Dennis win the Formula E Drivers' World Championship, while Porsche currently leads the Manufacturers' World Championship with four rounds left in the 2025/26 season.Nissan excited about new partnership with AndrettiNissan Team Principal and Managing Director Tommaso Volpe welcomed the agreement and said the company is looking forward to working with Andretti.“We’re delighted to welcome Andretti Formula E as our customer team for the GEN4 era.
