The Paramount+ multi-cam comedy “Crutch” is done after just one season, Variety has learned.

The series, which starred Tracy Morgan in the title role, originally debuted on Paramount+ back in November 2025.

News of the series ending comes as little surprise, as it failed to find a significant audience upon its debut and considering Morgan’s commitment to other projects. Most notably, Morgan now stars in the NBC comedy “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.” That show debuted on NBC in January 2026 and was renewed for a second season in May. In addition, cast options expired some time ago with many moving on to other projects.

With the cancellation, Paramount+ now does not have a single live-action comedy on its current slate, nor have they announced any in the recent past. The streamer is instead focused on its dramas like Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” and “Yellowstone” spinoff “Dutton Ranch” as well as the British crime drama “MobLand” among others.

“Crutch” follows its titular character Francois “Frank” Crutchfield (Morgan), who goes by “Crutch,” who is described as “a brash, yet beloved Harlem shop owner who finds his world turned upside down when his highbrow son and free-spirited daughter move back into the Crutchfield family home.”
