JOSEPH, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been cleared to fully participate in practice, the latest step in his return from a torn left ACL and LCL suffered in December.As the team welcomed quarterbacks and rookies to training camp at Missouri Western on Friday, coach Andy Reid told reporters Mahomes has the all clear to “do all the different periods that we have in this camp. He’s been cleared to participate fully.”Mahomes has made remarkable strides since having surgery in December — he even participated during most of the team’s May and June practices. He did non-contact work during those spring drills (while wearing a heavy knee brace) but was held out of 11-on-11s as a precaution. He told reporters in late May that running and cutting would be the next milestones as he worked his way back.This story will be updated.
