The Telangana Government on Friday released ₹740 crore to the Health Department to construct 1,569 health sub-centres and provide free diagnostic services across rural areas.The allocation is aimed at strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure and delivering free, quality medical services closer to rural communities.The proposed sub-centres will expand healthcare access at the grassroots level. Free diagnostic services will also be made available locally, reducing the need for villagers to travel to towns for basic medical tests.The initiative to facilitate early detection of diseases and timely treatment at the primary healthcare level. It is also intended to reduce the burden of medical expenses on poor and middle-class families, an official release said. Published on July 24, 2026
