Edwards Lifesciences Corp.

(NYSE:EW) stock rose Friday after the medical device maker reported second-quarter results that topped Wall Street estimates and raised the low end of its full-year revenue guidance.

The company reported adjusted earnings of 78 cents per share for the second quarter, beating the analyst consensus estimate of 74 cents.

Revenue increased to $1.741 billion from a year earlier, exceeding the $1.70 billion consensus estimate.

Total sales rose 13.6% year over year, or 12.5% on a constant-currency basis.
