Ferrari Charles Leclerc takes a corner during the first practice session at the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Hungarian Grand Prix has barely begun, yet some of the spotlight has already shifted to the fight unfolding inside the Ferrari garage.
Charles Leclerc fired the opening shot on Friday by topping the first practice session at the Hungaroring, continuing the momentum that has seen him emerge as one of Formula One's form drivers.
Fresh from back-to-back podium finishes, the Monegasque looked at home around the tight Budapest circuit, comfortably finishing ahead of Max Verstappen while Lewis Hamilton could only manage third.
It may only be practice, but the psychological battle has already begun. Hamilton arrived in Hungary believing the circuit offers Ferrari one of its best chances to challenge Mercedes.
