The Powerbeats Pro 2 have a custom acoustic platform tuned for balance rather than the heavy low end older Beats products were known for. Personalized Spatial Audio uses dynamic head tracking to place the audio around you and keep it anchored when you turn your head. Active Noise Canceling is new to the Powerbeats line, and it was designed to eliminate the unwanted ambient noise present in most gyms. Transparency mode turns ANC back on so you can hear your surroundings while running.
Battery lasts up to 10 hours per earbud, falling to approximately 8 hours when noise canceling is in use. Total battery life comes to 45 hours, with the case supplying another 35 hours on top of what the earbuds hold. Fast Fuel provides 90 minutes of listening time after a five-minute charge. The new case is 33 percent smaller than the one provided with the original Powerbeats Pro.
