'Teachable moment': AMA bolsters lung cancer screening guidance

The AMA adopted policy to improve physician education on the effectiveness of low-dose computed tomography, or LDCT, at its annual House of Delegates meeting.In the U.S., lung cancer is the top cause of cancer deaths and is the second most common overall cancer, but screening rates are still low, according to a press release from the AMA.
