Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said Friday that it carried out a coordinated series of long-range strikes against Russian oil infrastructure and military facilities, reaching a target as far as 1,350 kilometers (840 miles) from Ukraine.The overnight operation targeted oil-processing and pumping facilities in three Russian regions, as well as a long-range radar system and a fuel depot at military airfields in Russian-occupied Crimea.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.The farthest reported target was the Subkhankulovo oil pumping station in Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan. The SBU said the strike caused a fire in the facility’s tank farm.Local reports and footage circulating online also indicated that the oil installation had been attacked, although the full extent of the damage has not been independently established.Another strike targeted the Novospassky mini-refinery in Russia’s Ulyanovsk region, approximately 900 kilometers (560 miles) from Ukraine, according to the agency. A fire broke out in its storage area.The SBU also said it struck the “First Plant” mini-refinery in Russia’s Kaluga region.In Russian-occupied Crimea, Ukrainian drones targeted a Nebo-U long-range radar at the Belbek military airfield and a tank containing fuel and lubricants at the Saky military airfield, the agency said.However, the SBU did not disclose the types or number of drones used in the operation.According to the agency, the operation was conducted under instructions from President Volodymyr Zelensky to reduce Russia’s military and economic capacity to wage war against Ukraine.
