Eyal Zamir held a discussion on ways to respond to the terror attack that killed two and wounded three on Friday morning, the Prime Minister's Office confirmed.One of the murdered Israeli was identified as 32-year-old Master Sergeant (Res.) Benayahu Melet, a member of Gilad Farm's emergency response squad who was killed after attempting to aid hikers under assault by Palestinians.The other was identified as 27-year-old Major Yuval Ezra, an Artillery Battery Commander."We will act strongly against terrorists and their proxies, and we will not allow terrorism in Judea and Samaria to raise its head," Netanyahu said.Netanyahu and Katz issued a statement on Friday afternoon, issuing five orders.First, Israeli authorities will demolish the house of the terrorist responsible for the deadly shooting near Tell village. Fourth, Netanyahu plans to establish checkpoints; fifth, to accelerate the regulation of farms and establish new farms.Netanyahu and Katz emphasized that security forces, including the IDF, must be allowed to act freely and with full force against terrorism, and to refrain from any action that could harm their activities or divert them from their "central mission" of protecting Israeli citizens and defeating terrorism.Zini warns against public taking law into their own handsShin Bet (Israel Security Agency) Head David Zini held a situational assessment at the scene of the attack with the agency's district commanders and IDF commanders operating in the area. “The attack this morning was grave and painful and, regrettably, exacted a heavy toll in blood,” Zini said.“On behalf of myself and all the men and women of the Shin Bet, I extend condolences to the families and wish the wounded a speedy recovery. We are working tirelessly, shoulder to shoulder with the commanders of the Central Command and the division, as well as IDF commanders and soldiers, to thwart terrorism in the sector.Zini also warned the public against taking action of their own."I call on the public not to take the law into their own hands and to place their trust in the IDF and the Shin Bet, whose purpose and duty are to protect them.”Follow us on Google
