A Russian ballistic missile strike on the Kyiv region has preliminarily killed 10 people and injured about 100 others.

According to Ukrinform, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced this on Telegram.

"Russia has once again launched a missile strike on the Kyiv region. Ten people have been killed, and around 100 others have sustained injuries of varying severity. The information is being updated," Kravchenko said.

The Office of the Prosecutor General has launched a criminal investigation into the war crime under Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code and is overseeing the pre-trial investigation.

At the same time, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code over the possible negligent performance of official duties in the organization and conduct of the event, which resulted in fatalities and other grave consequences.
