The news editor is a senior leader in the newsroom, working closely with other editors to set our strategic direction. They have sight of our full editorial product, ensuring Business Day’s coverage of news, politics and economics remains industry leading. We’re looking for someone with exceptional editing and writing skills who can quickly commission, edit and publish our journalism across print, digital and multimedia platforms. The news editor is also unafraid to produce stories themselves when the occasion calls. Our newsroom is experienced but dynamic. We encourage all our reporters and editors to plan their work beyond the headlines of the day and not be confined by established storytelling techniques.
