All those on board were rescued safely from the water, officials said.According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the DeHavilland DHC-3 seaplane crashed at around 5:20 pm local time. Airline operator Kenmore Air said the aircraft had departed from Lake Union in Seattle with 10 passengers and one pilot on board.Speaking to ABC, the San Juan County Sheriff, Eric Peter, said at least one civilian boat witnessed the crash and began helping rescue people out of the water."Swift actions from everyone prevented this from being worse," he said, adding that the plane was on fire and sinking when the sheriff's office arrived at the scene.As per ABC, the U.S. Navy airlifted some people from the site, and the Coast Guard said it received a report of the Kenmore Air seaplane making an emergency landing in North Beach Shallow Bay, eventually catching fire.Kenmore Air said four injured passengers were being taken to hospitals while others were sent to the Bellingham Coast Guard Station."We are grateful that everyone aboard has been accounted for, and our immediate focus is ensuring our passengers and pilot receive the care and support they need”, said David Gudgel, CEO of Kenmore Air CEO.“Kenmore Air is fully cooperating with the investigating authorities, and we will continue providing verified information as it becomes available”, he added.Currently, the cause of the crash is being investigated by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.Watch: Kenmore Air seaplane carrying 11 crashes near Washington's Sucia Island
