Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, said it does not support the adoption of a Muslim-Muslim ticket for elective public office, saying Nigeria is remains a multi-religious and multi-ethnic nation.

Recall that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has adopted President Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Vice President Kashim Shetimma, both Muslims, to contest the presidential election in 2027.
However, while reacting to the move, the PFN, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr Sylvanus Ukafia, after its NEC meeting, said the move does not reflect religious balance in the leadership of the country.
