Meshy raises nearly $400 million at a $1.5 billion valuation, which it says is the largest round any dedicated AI-3D company has raised.

The platform claims to cut 3D asset creation from weeks to about a minute, at roughly $1 per model.

Nearly every major AI-3D funding round in 2026, including Meshy’s and rival Tripo AI’s, has been backed almost entirely by China-linked capital.

Building a usable 3D model has traditionally meant days of specialist software work, an experienced designer, and a budget line few small studios can justify. Meshy says it has cut that down to about a minute and a dollar, and it has just raised nearly $400 million at a $1.5 billion valuation to prove the point, a round it describes as the largest any dedicated AI-3D company has raised to date.

Meshy’s Series B was led by IDG Capital, Matrix Partners China and Monolith Management, joined by existing backers Granite Asia, HongShan (formerly Sequoia China), BAI Capital and Source Code Capital, all of whom oversubscribed their allocations. It is the company’s first disclosed valuation since Ethan Hu, an MIT PhD in computer graphics, founded it in 2023.
