Bon Jovi may need some good medicine after abruptly ending the July 23 show in New York City.The band cut the Madison Square Garden gig short after about 90 minutes and 14 songs because frontman Jon Bon Jovi is battling a sinus infection. The singing icon told the crowd the reason for the shortened show after performing their enduring anthem, "Livin’ on a Prayer" with guest Pat Monahan of Train.A statement from Bon Jovi's representative said more information about a possible rescheduled date will be available soon.The concert was the penultimate among the nine sold-out dates the band is playing at the New York venue. On July 7, Bon Jovi returned to the concert stage for the first time since 2022.The band had been sidelined while Jon Bon Jovi underwent surgeries and extensive rehab for vocal fold atrophy.At that first show back, the band unwrapped a robust show lasting nearly 2½ hours and filled with rock classics including "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Bad Medicine" and "Born to Be My Baby."Emotions were at the forefront as well, as an appreciative Jon Bon Jovi told the crowd, "I was grateful and humbled by this whole ordeal. 20,000 people are here to give love and support us … thank you for letting me have this."Bon Jovi will play the last date of their Madison Square Garden residency on Sunday, July 26, before heading to Scotland, Ireland, and London for a series of shows in August and September.
