The US issues new sanctions against “front organizations” that allegedly help move funds for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, the State Department said on Thursday.
“Today, the United States is addressing this threat by designating a senior UK-based Egyptian MB official and three individuals and three entities, all resident outside Egypt, that have provided material support to Hamas,” State Department Spokesman Tommy Pigott said.
