At Red Hat, our goal for the ecosystem has always been simple: build a predictable, profitable partner program for our partners to scale their business. As always, we remain committed to the future of open source, and that means continuously investing in the partners who help us bring that future to life. Now, we are rolling out a series of updates to the Red Hat Partner Program designed to streamline your daily operations, safeguard your investments, and give you a clear financial runway to build new pipeline. Here are five ways we are enhancing the global partner experience to help you maximize business value:1. Say hello to the new cloud moduleThe modern consumption economy doesn't move to the rhythm of traditional booking metrics, and our partner program has expanded to include this critical market shift. We are thrilled that the highly anticipated cloud module, developed specifically to support our Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Providers (CCSPs), is now live!Existing CCSP partners are now included in the global Red Hat Partner Program and will be recognized for the vital role they play, with program points awarded based on the CCSP offering as well as other program activities such as training, GTM efforts, technical expertise and more. Qualified Cloud Service Providers new to Red Hat may apply via the cloud module to gain access to the CCSP offer. The new cloud module mirrors the way cloud business operates, so you are supported, recognized and rewarded more comprehensively for your investments and growth with Red Hat.2. Upleveling the standard for the Ready tierWe want to help you stand out and deliver deeper value to your customers. That’s why we’re expanding the skills requirements for the Ready tier of the Red Hat Partner Program, rewarding and empowering partners who are committed to Red Hat technologies. By adding a technical sales credential to the entry standard, we are strengthening the ecosystem and deepening customer confidence, strengthening alignment and increasing market differentiation. Beginning January 2027, partners in the Ready tier must have at least one technical seller credential, in addition to two seller credentials, in order to retain their Ready tier eligibility. So, when customers see the Red Hat Ready Partner badge, they can move forward with confidence knowing they are working with partners who understand both the business and technical aspects of selling Red Hat. For partners dedicated to growing their collaboration with Red Hat, this paves the way for easier access to enablement resources, support and co-selling opportunities. Training and enablement materials are also available via Red Hat Partner Training Portal. For more information on Red Hat Ready tier criteria, contact pex-communications@redhat.com. 3. Streamlining demand generation with MDF and incentivesMarketing teams do their best work when they can focus entirely on generating pipeline. To help them do exactly that, we have separated our marketing funds from sales incentives. Partners can now unlock dedicated Market Development Funds (MDF) built explicitly to drive demand generation and market awareness for cloud initiatives. This structural update gives your marketing engines the direct financial runway required to source new customer opportunities and capture market share.4. Predictable rewards with enhanced sales rebatesComplex enterprise engagements require deep up-front investments. We believe those investments should be protected across the entire customer lifecycle—not just at the transaction point. Our updated incentives portfolio introduces enhanced deal registration and stackable rebates that reward your team for the complete lifecycle, including crucial pre-sales engagements and architectural workshops. With stronger, more predictable deal protection, you can pursue deep, strategic customer architectures with the absolute confidence that your investments are secure.5. A smoother digital experience Red Hat is continuously investing in making our digital interface faster, more autonomous, and easier to navigate. Now, we are introducing Lifecycle Intelligence – a modern web experience that helps partners review renewal opportunities, track performance, spot risk, and identify growth opportunities – available now through Red Hat Partner Connect.
