New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday said it found no evidence linking Sanjeev Kumar, alias Sanjeev Mukhiya, to the theft or distribution of the leaked NEET-UG 2024 question paper.In an official press statement released on Thursday, the agency said that the case was initially registered by the Bihar Police after the NEET-UG question paper theft was detected in 2024.Also Read: Talks hit venue hurdle as CJP calls nationwide stir"Prima facie suspicion had emerged at that stage against one Sanjeev Kumar @ Sanjeev Mukhiya may have been involved in the theft, as he was found to have been involved in certain other examination paper theft/leak cases. He was accordingly named as an accused in the said FIR by Bihar Police," the CBI's statement read.The case was subsequently transferred to the CBI for investigation. The federal agency said it identified every person involved in the theft and onward distribution of the stolen NEET (UG) 2024 question paper, as well as every candidate who benefited from using the stolen paper.Also Read: Jaishankar calls for choking terror financing, safe international shipping lanes at ASEAN meet in ManilaThe agency said that it filed multiple chargesheets against 45 accused involved in the case.
